pic Welcome

The Southside Sport & Community Club is conveniently located in the heart of Upper Mt Gravatt and is one of the most successful clubs in Queensland.

Southside Sport and Community Club is a community based organisation which first opened its doors in September 1997 and shares its premises with Queensland's Premier Bingo venue - Southside Bingo.

It all started with Southside Bingo in 1995 when the club was originally formed and since then the club has grown to include 24,000 members and employ 130 staff at its three venues - Southside Sport & Community Club, the Mt. Gravatt Bowls Club and Southern Cross Sports Club - all located in Upper Mt. Gravatt.

The physical character of the main club is changing all the time with the $3.2million Stage 4 redevelopment completed in December 2009 on top of the $6.5 million already invested since 1999. Our members and visitors enjoy modern facilities that will enhance their experience whenever they visit the club.

The club boasts 185 of the best and most up to date gaming machines, including the very popular State wide links, in one of the best gaming rooms in the State, along with the Roast Casual Dining Restaurant, the Eat Cafe - Coffee Shop and the Lounge Bar. Members and guests can enjoy free entertainment Friday to Sunday, play Keno and enjoy affordable quality meals while relaxing or socialising with friends.

It is a condition of entry that all members present a current, financial membership card for inspection each time you enter the club. Your membership card entitles you to sign in any guests that will be in your company for the duration of the visit. If you do not have your card on you check with reception in case you left it behind on a previous visit. If sufficient ID is sighted a proof of membership slip can be issued.

Most reciprocal cards are accepted for entry. Bona Fide Visitors (unaccompanied by a member or reciprocal member) are accepted if their place of residence is more than fifteen kilometres from the club.

Minors are allowed on premise if accompanied by responsible adult or guardian.

The responsible adult or guardian must be of suitable age (ie old enough to be the Minor's parent). Minors must leave the premise before 9.30pm Monday to Sunday.

For the comfort and enjoyment of all patrons, the following dress regulations apply:
"Neat Casual attire is the MINIMUM standard at all times"

The following attire is Not Permitted inside the club:

  • Hats or Caps
  • Soiled or Untidy Work Clothes/Boots
  • Sleeveless Shirts, Jumpers or Singlets
